All installation work is carried out by NICEIC approved electricians in accordance with UK electrical regulations (BS 7671).

4. Quote Requests

4.1 Requesting a Quote

Quotes are provided free of charge with no obligation. By requesting a quote, you agree to provide accurate information about your property and requirements.

4.2 Quote Validity

Quotes are typically valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices may be subject to change due to:

• Changes in material costs
• Additional work identified during survey
• Changes to your requirements
• DNO (Distribution Network Operator) requirements

4.3 Site Survey

A site survey may be required before final quote confirmation. The survey will assess:

• Electrical supply capacity
• Installation location and cable route
• Any necessary electrical upgrades
• DNO notification requirements

5. Installation Services

5.1 Acceptance of Quote

By accepting a quote and scheduling installation, you enter into a contract with EVQuote Pro. A deposit may be required to secure your installation date.

5.2 Installation Timeline

Standard installations typically take 2-4 hours. Total timeline from quote to completion is usually 2-4 weeks, subject to:

• Availability of materials
• DNO approval times (if required)
• Scheduling of NICEIC approved electricians
• Weather conditions for external work

5.3 Access Requirements

You must provide:

• Clear access to installation location
• Access to electrical consumer unit
• Parking for installation vehicle
• Power supply for tools (if required)

5.4 Installation Standards

All installations comply with:

• BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
• IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation
• Building Regulations Part P
• Manufacturer specifications

6. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about your property
• Obtaining landlord permission if renting
• Ensuring access on installation day
• Reviewing and understanding operating instructions
• Reporting any faults or issues promptly
• Not tampering with installed equipment

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Pricing

All prices are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated.

7.2 Payment Schedule

Payment terms are typically:

• Deposit: 25-50% upon booking (if required)
• Balance: Due upon completion of installation

7.3 Payment Methods

We accept payment by:

• Bank transfer (BACS)
• Credit/Debit card
• Other methods as agreed

7.4 OZEV Grant

If eligible for the OZEV grant, we will deduct the grant amount from your final invoice and claim directly from OZEV on your behalf.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

• Before survey: Full refund of any deposit paid
• After survey, before installation: Refund minus survey costs
• Less than 48 hours before installation: Deposit may be forfeited
• After installation commenced: No refund available

8.2 Cancellation by EVQuote Pro

We reserve the right to cancel if:

• Installation is not technically feasible
• Safety concerns are identified
• Customer provides false information
• Required permits are denied

In such cases, any deposit paid will be fully refunded.

9. Warranties and Guarantees

9.1 Installation Warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on all installation workmanship, covering:

• Electrical connections
• Cable installation
• Mounting and fixings
• Certification

9.2 Equipment Warranty

Charging equipment is covered by manufacturer warranty (typically 2-5 years). Warranty terms vary by manufacturer.

9.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse or negligence
• Unauthorized modifications or repairs
• Normal wear and tear
• Acts of God (lightning, floods, etc.)
• Damage by third parties

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services
• We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control
• We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
